Kayaking at Fisherman's Cove

Siesta Key residents know where to come for the best kayaking in the Sarasota area. (The same area many commerical kayaking tours start from.) Turtle Beach Park, right next to Fisherman's Cove. This area is ideal for anyone interested in exploring the Jim Neville Marine Preserve, venturing around the mangrove islands, or beaching it at Palmer Point Beach Park, a secluded public beach accessible by boat or kayak.

During the warmer months dolphins and manatees can be observed around the mangrove islands. In the winter months there are a large amount of migrating birds.
